Perfect World Co., Ltd. (Perfect World) is an online game developer and operator in People?s Republic of China. The Company develops online games based on its game engines and game development platforms. Its technology capabilities consist of its game engines, game development platforms and real-time anti-cheating expertise, all developed and built by its development team. In January 2009, the Company established Perfect Star Co., Ltd., or PW Malaysia, a Malaysia corporation and its wholly owned subsidiary. In February 2009, PW Network established Chengdu Perfect World Network Technology Co., Ltd. (Chengdu PW Network). In December 2009, and January 2010, the Company established Perfect World Universal Cooperatieve U.A. and Perfect World Europe B.V., respectively. In April 2010, the Company acquired a 100% equity interest in C&C Media from Atlus Co., Ltd. In May 2010, the Company acquired a majority stake in Runic Games.
