Nutrisystem, Inc. is a provider of a weight management system based on a low-calorie, portion-controlled, prepared meal program. The customers purchase monthly food packages containing a 28-day supply of breakfasts, lunches, dinners and desserts, which they supplement with fresh dairy, fruit, salad, vegetables and low-glycemic carbohydrate items. Most of the customers order on an auto-delivery basis (Auto-Delivery), in which the Company send a month?s food supply on an ongoing basis until notified by the customer to stop the shipments. In April 2009, the Company launched the marketing of the Nutrisystem D program. In December 2009, the Company launched the Nutrisystem Jumpstart. In October 2009, the Company announced the introduction of the Nutrisystem program in Japan. In July 2008, the Company completed the acquisition of Power Chow, LLC.
