SunPower Corporation (SunPower) is a vertically integrated solar products and services company that designs, manufactures and markets high-performance solar electric power technologies. The Company operates through two business segments: components segment and systems segment. The Systems Segment represents sales directly to system owners and developers and includes engineering, procurement, construction (EPC) and other services relating to solar electric power systems that integrate the Company?s solar panels and balance of systems components, as well as materials sourced from other manufacturers. The Components Segment primarily represents sales of the Company?s solar panels and inverters to solar systems installers and other resellers, including the Company?s third-party global dealer network. On April 14, 2009, the Company completed the acquisition of Tilt Solar. In March 2010, the Company acquired SunRay Renewable Energy.

SunPower Completes 1-Megawatt Solar Power System for Yolo County
WOODLAND, Calif., July 27, 2010 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ --
Yolo County, SunPower Corp. (SPWR.A)(SPWR.B) and Bank of America (BAC) today announced that SunPower has completed the design and construction of a 1-megawatt solar power system at the Yolo County Justice Campus in Woodland, Calif. Yolo County, which owns the system and associated renewable energy credits, is financing the purchase using multiple funding sources, including clean renewable energy bonds and qualified energy conservation bonds available through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.

SunPower Partners with Solar Ventures to Build 11.1 Megawatts in Piedmont Region of Italy
MILAN, July 22, 2010 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ --
SunPower Corp. (SPWR.A)(SPWR.B) and Solar Ventures S.r.l., a developer of solar parks in Italy, France and the Mediterranean area, today announced that they have signed a contract to design and build three solar power plants in the Piedmont region of Italy. Totaling 11.1 megawatts over 30 hectares, the development represents one of the largest solar power developments in the region. Construction on the plants will start this month and is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
