What is OptionsBuddy?
OptionsBuddy is the brainchild of two novice investors who were trying to figure out a way to make better investing decisions. For years, we would spend hours gathering data on different stocks, trying to decide which ones to invest in. Our goal was relatively simple; beat CD and Money Market rates. Covered calls seemed to be the safest and most consistent way to make money. The problem was finding safe stocks, with good fundamentals, that also offered a decent returns.
With both of us being software developers, we opted to let a program do the searching for us. Every night, the OptionsBuddy crawler scours afterhours market data. After searching through thousands of optionable securities, the crawler updates the OptionsBuddy database. The OptionsBuddy.com site then takes the information from the database and makes it available to you. As a member of OptionsBuddy.com, you have the ability to create custom portfolios that allow you to filter the stocks and options that you want to display.
